This intro video on how to make a better picture or video using the "Rule of Thirds". This video makes sense and shows you how to make certain objects in a video stand out from the background. I think this video would be really good to show to students in an ICT course. Some students do not know how to take a proper picture or video. In my math class I might even bring this up to see if there were any other numbers that would work for this rule such as fourths. You could turn this into a study if the students didn't believe and get your peers to vote on the best photo.
Interesting idea, David.
ReplyDeleteVery cool video David. This could also be used in an Art class, English, or anywhere else students might be using creative photo or drawing skills!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate this video. Having taught Art, I an attest that it is a challenge to get students to consider composition. This video shows the concept of the rules of thirds in a quick, simple, 3 minutes format. I'm going to use this in the future, pause the video at the right moment, and get the students to draw the line of the horizon and allow them to talk about why it applies for the Rule of Thirds.
